Take a plastic bag and fill it with feathers (fur or cheap hamburger meat could be used as well). With duct tape, secure the filled plastic bag on to the inside of the mower deck above the blades. Obviously do not do this while the lawn mower is running.

When your mark next uses their lawn mower, the vibration from running engine along with the air currents created by the spinning blades should pull your filled plastic bag into the blades sending feathers (or fur, or hamburger meat) flying everywhere!

The panic caused when your mark thinks they have run over one of God's little creatures is priceless.
