All you will need is an ink pad and a co-worker who wears a telephone headset. Press the earpad part of the headset into the ink pad. Replace headset where you found it. When they finish up with their next phone call, their ear will be all black (or whatever color ink pad you use. I'd suggest using the same color as the headset to make it harder to detect). If you can't wait until your mark received their next phone call, call them yourself.
